DR. Mariana Guimaraes
Mariana Guimaraes is a licensed Acupuncture Physician in the state of Florida. She is certified by NCCAOM (National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) holding a National Board Certification in Acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, and Chinese Herbology.
Born and raised in Brazil, Dr Mariana Guimaraes grew up in a nurturing, creative household. It was here she discovered an affinity for dance, and its natural way of expressing ideas, emotions, and experience. Mariana began studying movement, and the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. She continued as an artist and studied Science of the human body, graduating in 2000 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and Wellness. During this time, she was first introduced to yoga, homeopathic remedy, and holistic living.
Mariana began a professional career in Marketing, where she continued her relationship with movement – learning how to identify a deeper mind-body connection using yoga and meditation. A connection that led to volunteer work and ultimately, her role as a healer. Mariana’s passion to serve others is rooted in compassion to help those in need, a fascination with the complexity of the human body + healing processes, and her deep understanding of energetics.
Mariana continued to focus on academia and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Masters in Traditional and Oriental Medicine from the Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, CA. She uses combined modern and ancient methods to transform patients from a state of malnourishment and ‘dis-ease’ to Vibrancy, Health and Artful Living. Mariana’s work is driven by World Peace–She uses both intuition and resources to help people find inner balance and heal organically.
Dr. Guimaraes has traveled the world and lived in several different countries, contributing to her flexibility, open-minded personality, and fluency in four languages. These experiences have afforded her opportunities to navigate, interact with, and relate to different bicultural communities and environments. This is a portal where all people are welcome to find support, can expect to be seen/heard, and receive the highest quality of modern and Ancient Medicine. Through Mariana’s guidance, clients are able to tap into their greatest potential. She is the example, mirroring back to others their highest expression of Self.
In addition to Acupuncture, Mariana uses advanced techniques including Cupping, Electro-Acupuncture, and Moxibustion. Her Acupuncture practice is varied, including TCM, Japanese, Master Tung, Esoteric, and Auricular (NANA, ear, battlefield). She has received additional training in Acupuncture Point Injection therapy, which integrates natural and homeopathic remedies into Acupuncture points to treat specific wellness needs. She specializes in Women’s Health, Fertility, Cosmetic Acupuncture, and Psycho-Emotional imbalances. As a compassionate practitioner, she guides patients into a state of optimal health.
